A useful question can be asked in your own everyday words.
Can online care be real care?
The medical boards’ policy, checked in September 2026, requires the standard of care to be the same for remote and in-person visits.
As of September 2026, state rules for online prescribing still differ.
Ask how the service will assess your concern and when it would arrange an in-person visit.

Reviewing medicines is work the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) does for the U.S. government.
FDA lists unusually low prices as a warning sign to weigh alongside other checks.
Generic medicines have approval as versions of brand-name drugs.
The list price is the price the medicine’s maker publishes.
A price by itself cannot decide this; real cash offers and generic medicines may cost much less than the listed price.
Check the doctor or other health professional, the pharmacy, the actual medicine, and the complete price together.
Run the license check →Does finishing a form guarantee a prescription?
In May 2026, the medical boards’ federation said that simply choosing a medicine from a list, without a proper health assessment, falls short of proper care.
Choosing a treatment from a list is different from answering questions about your symptoms and health history.
Ask what the assessment can lead to, including a plan without medicine. Ask what fees would still apply.
What if I do not know what to ask?
Begin with: What are my options for the concern that brought me here? Then ask for any words you do not understand to be explained.
